Carly is a graduate of the Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) program at Durham College and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Trent University. Driven by her passion for helping children, she furthered her education by pursuing a professional certificate in Children’s Mental Health. Carly is registered with the Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada and Speech-Language & Audiology Canada. She has two years of experience serving on CDAAC’s Executive Committee and currently supports the organization in her role as Secretary. Carly has experience in providing therapy services, with a focus on language, literacy, and social communication goals in autistic children. She uses her creativity to incorporate each child’s unique interests to make each session fun and rewarding!
As a CDA, Carly works under the Supervision of a qualified SLP to implement treatment plans as directed by supervising SLP. CDA’s are covered under extended healthcare benefits as they work under SLPs.
