Welcome Christie !
Christie is a graduate of the Communicative Disorders Assistant program at Durham College and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science of Language from McMaster University and a postgraduate certificate in Brain Disorders Management from Mohawk College. Christie is registered with the Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada and Speech-Language & Audiology Canada. She has worked with clients across the lifespan. Her experiences include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) services for adults with congenital and acquired disorders and speech and language intervention for preschool and school-age children for articulation, AAC, and receptive/expressive language. In her free time, Christie enjoys providing public education on communication strategies to dementia care partners through the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka and Simcoe County. Christie is a lifelong learner who continues to update her knowledge by participating in professional development and learning from those who inspire her. She can’t wait to work with you and your family!
